Starting Fall 2026, I will be a Lecturer in Philosophy at Smith College.

I'm interested in the philosophy of language and mind. My current research focuses on the semantics and pragmatics of socially meaningful language. I focus on phenomena including style shifting, dialect continua, sociolinguistic variation, slang, register, and honorifics.

I received my Ph.D. in Philosophy from Columbia University. Before that, I received an M.Phil. in History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Cambridge, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Williams College.
